Syzygy was crafted with steady hands and a storyteller’s heart. Every corner was shaped in real time through live written roleplay and every detail was stitched together by the owner herself until not a single shadow or stray idea remained forgotten. The venue is a passion project in both the world of the characters who inhabit it and the world outside them. In character, Syzygy stands as a crossroads of fates, a place where weary travelers, curious souls, and wandering mystics gather to share stories. Out of character, it exists to bring life, warmth, and energy back into the venue scene through thoughtful design, clear intent, and a commitment to creating a space where all kinds of venue roamers feel welcomed.When you step inside, the cottagecore hush settles first. Lanterns flicker, dried herbs hang in bundles, and everything carries the scent of woodsmoke and soft magic. In this little standstill of quiet charm you choose your path. In the heavens lie our Elysium, while the depths waits our Tartarus.Entering Tartarus is its own ritual. You will be met at the boundary with a gentle reminder to confirm you understand the nature of the lower floor. Once acknowledged, the doorway opens to the heat, color, and chaos of what waits below. The descent itself marks the shift: the light tightens, music stirs, and the tone of the venue slips from soft wonder into something more wicked.Upstairs in Elysium the world is strictly SFW by design. It is a calm haven, slow paced and roleplay focused. Live music and bardic performances flow through the room like warm tea. Guests relax at small wooden tables where tarot can be read for them as they dine. This floor is meant to soothe, to inspire, and to give room for stories to take shape organically.Downstairs in Tartarus the rules loosen and the air cracks with energy. It is our NSFW friendly floor where chaos is welcomed, degeneracy thrives, and roleplay is encouraged though never required. A compact mini bar serves the familiar classics at a standard price for those who just want a drink without fuss. Those with particular tastes may special order any drink or dish from the cafe upstairs and it will be brought down to you. Courts can be bought and claimed, the DJ sets the pace for the night, and the space becomes whatever the crowd shapes it to be.Here you can also take part in our 70/30 split DR Tournament, or try your luck in the Tarot Trials that are available once per visitor per week. The Tarot Trials are our signature deathroll drinking game hosted by the mini bar staff, a lively challenge that tests fate, fortune, and sobriety all at once. Some come down only to watch. Others come to fuck around and find out.
It is important to note that those upstairs in the Cafe may also test their fate at the Tarot Trials, it'll just be far less chaotic of an experience.Together the floors of Syzygy create a story of duality. Light and shadow. Calm and chaos. Hearth and fire. Syzygy was born from the hands of someone who has walked many paths, both magical and digital. I have been a practicing witchcraft for nearly four years, growing my craft through tarot, shadow work, tea magic, pendulum divination, deity work, spell work, and the quiet discipline of tending to ones spirit. Witchcraft has always been a form of personal exploration for me, a place where intuition becomes language and where energy shapes itself into something purposeful. My love for the cosmos, the unknown, and the soft shimmer of space is woven through everything I do. It guides the way I read, the way I design, and the way I build community.I have also spent over a decade involved in venue scenes across multiple platforms and nearly six years in the world of Final Fantasy. For the last two years I have been part of the roleplay community within FFXIV, shaping characters, joining venues, hosting events, and learning what truly makes a space feel magical. Across all those years I have seen what venues can be, what they sometimes struggle with, and what they rarely dare to try.Syzygy is my answer to that. I wanted to create a haven, a sanctuary untouched by unnecessary drama or lingering negativity. A place crafted with intention. A place that feels genuinely safe both in character and out of character. Something I could call my own and shape entirely by my own hands. I hold a million ideas that most venues are not ready for, and Syzygy gives me the freedom to introduce them at my own pace. I want people to see that venues do not need to follow the same path to succeed. You can be different. You can carve your own constellation into the sky. Syzygy will always be that. Handbuilt, deeply personal, and unlike any other.A large part of Syzygy’s heart is my desire to teach and share the beauty of witchcraft with others. I wanted a space where curiosity is encouraged and where people can learn without judgment. Our Discord holds an entire collection of resource channels for beginners, a dedicated space for practicing witches to talk with one another, and a handwritten Syzygy Grimoire that I am writing alongside one of my managers. The grimoire is a growing archive that pours together everything we know, from spellwork and energy basics to deity work, tarot, tea magic, and more. It exists so anyone who wanders into our orbit can learn, explore, or simply sit with the craft in whatever way feels right to them.Within the world of Final Fantasy I wear many faces. I enjoy gposing, crafting character designs, and creating looks that shift with the night’s energy. Each visit to Syzygy might greet you with a new appearance, a new personality, or a new in character interpretation of who I am. My characters live and breathe and change like the moon, yet when it comes to my tarot readings I choose to step out of character so the message comes through clearly, respectfully, and without theatrical distortion. It can also signify that hidden truths are being revealed and illusions are dissipating. In some interpretations, it suggests that you have been neglecting your instincts and that external demands have overridden your deeper feelings.The reversed Moon tarot card is associated with Pisces, the mutable water sign ruled by Neptune, representing themes of deception, instability, and inconstancy. In Tartarus, the future waits quietly. For this event, our Owner will descend from her usual place above to offer special four-card New Years readings, each representing a season of the coming year: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Travelers, we beg you to please send us your aid!”For the first portion of the night, Tartarus staff will fully invade the Elysium spaces, turning the upper realm into a stage of unrest and mischief. Tables become battlegrounds, tension crackles in the air, and the peace of Elysium hangs by a thread.In response, Syzygy calls upon powerful reinforcements... the Fujihana clan! Their arrival marks the beginning of a lively, RP-driven confrontation as Akai Noren staff and designated defenders clash with the escaping souls, working together to drive Tartarus back where it belongs.Guests are invited to enjoy dinner and a show, ordering as usual while witnessing the unfolding conflict. Watch alliances form, chaos reign, and order slowly return as the invaders are pushed back downstairs. The Fields of Asphodel are where every journey through Syzygy gently begins and softly concludes: a place that offers both a greeting and a farewell. Our Lantern Bearers keep this realm glowing, tending the lights that guide each wandering soul with warmth, patience, and quiet grace. And though rarely noticed, the Guardians of the Gates watch from the edges, ensuring that only those truly meant to descend may pass into the Depths of Tartarus.You may also catch a glimpse of our Seer of Memories here. Though they drift freely between all realms, Asphodel is where their spirit feels most at home, listening to echoes, gathering whispers, and tending to the threads of what once was.Within this peaceful expanse rests our Book of Shadows, the only place aboveground where the secret phrase for Tartarus may be found.

Deep within Tartarus, the boundary between shadow and starlight blurs into something beautifully wicked. Here, our Alchemist trades frying pans for potion bottles, conjuring brews that send you drifting through the astral veil, potions that spark along your skin, and mixes that leave a shiver trailing your spine. And should their charm not sweep you off your feet, our Syzygy Temptations certainly will. They glide through the depths as if born to them; comfortable in their own skin, and more than willing to welcome yours, should you ever wish it.Tartarus is the unapologetically NSFW heart of Syzygy, our haven for the bold, the curious, and the delightfully unhinged if not degenerate. Gaining entry requires a passphrase tied to our featured tarot pull of the month, that'll change as you can assume, every month. It can only be found on our portal (our carrd website) or tucked within the Greeter’s Book on the main floor. Whisper it softly to our Guardian Of The Gates, and the path downward will open into our arcane, decadent underbelly.Below, you’ll discover our nightly DR Tournaments with a 70/30 pot split, the full roster of Syzygy Temptations (courts), a DJ spinning through the darkness, and a compact bar where the Alchemist of Tartarus serves drinks outside the main menu- unless you’d prefer something from upstairs sent down just for you. Nothing here is explicitly required, this is just a general etiquette to follow.
- Address personal needs. If you are hungry, tired, or stressed, take care of those things first (as much as you can) before getting a reading to ensure you are fully present.- Set your intention. Take a moment to think about what you want out of the reading. Try to stay away from yes or no questions (Unless you're getting the one card yes/no option). When thinking of a question, try to make it open ended. Avoid asking any "Will I..." questions - would you rather be told your future, or experience it for yourself?If you'd like some help forming a question, here are some examples:"What do I need to know right now?""How can I better understand the signs I'm receiving?""How can I move past them leaving?""How does my upcoming opportunity affect me in the future?""What should I focus on in my relationship with x?"- Find a reader you trust. Choose someone you feel comfortable and safe with. They will be reading something very personal to you - ensure its someone you trust with that knowledge.
During the Reading
- Keep all conversation either in /party or /tell with your reader (and potential companions) to maintain privacy of all parties involved.- Reading the cards take time. Please ensure you have ample time available before getting a reading, to ensure everything the cards wish to tell you can be conveyed.- Stay grounded, present, and engaged. Try to minimize distractions as little as possible to remain present and engaged. If you need a moment to step away and ground yourself, you are welcome to - just let your reader know.- Communicate and participate. The reading is for you. Feel free to share your own insights or feelings whenever prompted, as your feedback can help the reader further understand and refine the message being conveyed.- Be open to interpretation. The future is not truly fixed - the fates may weave a fabric, but our free will allows us to choose the pattern we make on it. The cards merely offer a perspective to your current path. You are not trapped by what the cards show, only given guidance.
After the Reading
- Stay grounded. After the session, take a few moments to yourself and ground yourself back in your body. Grab some water, do some light exercise, listen to some music. Readings can be hard sometimes - give your body the rest you and your mind deserve.- Reflect and act. Think about the message you received, what the cards said, and how it applies to your life. Consider the guidance received, and the next steps in your life.

✰ You must hold an interest in witchcraft. Active practice is not required, but a genuine curiosity and appreciation for the craft is more than enough.

They pay attention to seasonal shifts and holidays, ensuring the music reflects the moment. Our Courts, or the Syzygy Temptations, is one of the entertainer positions we offer here at Syzygy.The Courts are a rare and limited position within Syzygy, chosen for their ability to weave comfort, presence, and mystique.Their role is to offer company and companionship to guests, holding space for those who seek intimacy, closeness, or a night that feels singular and unforgettable.
More than simple presence, Courts embody the mystical spirit of Syzygy in their interactions: showing that the magic we carry into the café and speakeasy can also live in the realm of closeness, passion, and private encounters. Their craft lies in making guests feel desired, seen, and cared for while maintaining the balance between sensuality and Syzygy’s signature aura of witchcraft, wonder, and respect.They are the keepers of intimacy and enchantment, embodying witchcraft’s softer, more alluring face. Each guest should leave their company feeling spellbound.To clarify though, in the café space upstairs (SFW only), Courts are expected to dress and act in line with the venue’s mystical, more family-friendly atmosphere.
